Asset: York Water Chiller

Issue Identified: Following a recent 4-hour response reactive air-conditioning and chiller call out our engineer found the system pressures were below the recommended parameters. We recommended a pressure leak test to confirm the refrigerant leakage location.
Works carried out:
- We isolated the unit electrically and mechanically.
- We recovered refrigerant down to 1 psi into a dedicated recovery cylinder for weighing.
- We repaired the leak by means of brazing over of a pipe only.
- We re-pressure tested with OFN (oxygen free nitrogen) to prove system is leak tight for a minimum of 24hrs.
- Once proved we released OFN to the atmosphere and evacuated the system to a minimum of 2 torr.
- We re-charged with virgin refrigerant
- We carried out leak test as per F Gas regulations.
- Test ran and re-commissioned
- Left system running ok
