Job Description:  York YCAL Chiller Pressure Leak Test and Repairs

Area: Mark Lane, London

Issue Identified:  Following a recent maintenance our engineer discovered circuit 1 was short of refrigerant and required a pressure leak test.

Works carried out:

  • Isolated the York Chiller unit electrically and mechanically.
  • Recovered refrigerant into certified cylinder for storage on site.
  • Weighed and confirmed the charge.
  • Pressure tested with OFN (oxygen free nitrogen) to locate any possible leak.
  • Leak found on discharge shut off valve, repaired and re-pressure tested
  • Once proved released OFN (oxygen free nitrogen) to atmosphere and evacuated system to a minimum of 2 Torr.
  • Re-charged with recovered refrigerant and trim charged with virgin refrigerant.
  • Test ran and commissioned.
  • Completed waste transfer note and handed to on-site representative.
  • Completed F Gas records.
